EPS or rock wool: Which insulation material is suitable for my facade?
Anyone wanting to reduce heating costs and improve the energy efficiency of their building envelope will inevitably need to insulate the facade. However, the first uncertainty often arises when choosing the insulation material: EPS or mineral wool? Both materials are used in external thermal insulation composite systems (ETICS) and serve the same basic purpose: reducing heat loss and improving a building's energy efficiency. Nevertheless, they differ significantly in their properties, processing, and applications. Understanding these differences allows for a more informed decision.
